A little update...

Hi everyone,

We are living our best life here in Texas (no not really), but we're making due! I can't say I miss the frigid WI/CO winters, but after a summer of near constant 110 degree days, I am officially ready for fall. Bring on the pumpkins, witches and Samhain! I recently binge-watched Salem for the second time. Getting t.v. chill on when you're a momma/teacher/short order cook/and master finder of the things in the house, is damn near impossible. Just as I settle into my warm snuggly faux furry bed, tea and kitty at close hand, my door ever so slowly creaks open. This of course alerts Jasper (check IG) and he must investigate, unintentionally clawing me to sleuth. I set my tea down, resisting the urge to expressly and loudly sigh (this is the seventeenth interuption in a 45 minute show.) We're on year thirteen. Momma needs a break.

That's why I will soon be traveling to New Orleans!!! Food. Music. Marie Lavaeu. And my laptop. Cafe Du Monde and her delicious Louisiana Chicory and Beignets are calling to this Creole girl. :D (Be on the lookout for that travel vlog mid November!)

In book news. You all know that my son became very sick in 2016. It's been three years of trying to diagnose his issues and treat him, in the least invasive ways. Navigating life, work, doctors, and insurance companies is a feat like no other. I am happy to announce that my baby is headed in the right direction and it only goes up from here.

His downward spiral and the duties of mommyhood have unfortunately made it very challenging and downright impossible to put pen to paper, or finger to keys. We published Book of Gates and I had every intention of releasing the fifth installment of House of New Gods last year, but that didn't happen. I have started. It's a slower process than I'd like, but that's indie author life.

The story continues and I am incredibly humbled as always to come across new fans of the series, especially when they reach out from thousands of miles away. Without true marketing and a constant online presence, that floors me, and brings me such joy. It truly is an honor to be able to touch lives. It means the world!

I wish you all love and light and peace, and will be working hard to bring you more stories.
