Q. What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My greatest joy in writing is the ability to bring strangers, readers, into my world. When someone is able to be a thousand or more miles away, and turning page after page of your work, they're not just getting inside the minds of the characters, they're getting inside the author's head too. I love that!
Q. What do your fans mean to you?

Yes, I have moved not one, but three children, (to be fair, two little boys, and one dog they call sister) all the way from WI to San Antonio Texas. It has been a feat, let me tell you. We updated on Amazon that Golden Age (tenative title) would initally be out spring of 2014, but later revised that message to reflect the upheaval. It is a cold, cold February. All I care to do is sneak large round cookies up to my bedroom, turn off my phone, and snatch up my kindle to read. I want to veg, veg, veg! Burr!
I long for the south's whispering cemetaries, the languid Mississippi, the sensual Spanish Moss, and the reach of the aged Oak across cobblestone streets.
